FOSTERPLANTS AWARDED THREE BEST PROJECT AWARDS BY INTERIORSCAPE
MAGAZINE
Interiorscape Magazine, the interiorscape industry's highly regarded
trade journal, has awarded FosterPlants, Inc. three Best Project Awards
for their 2005 awards program.
The
interiorscape industry's longest running trade publication presented the
Grand Award to FosterPlants for the IL Villagio Roof-top Terrace
Garden. The private 10,000 square foot garden which sits atop a 17 story
luxury condominium in Miami Beach, Florida was designed by Richard
Lopez, the company's Vice President of Design
and Operations. In addition to the Grand Award, Best Project Awards were
presented to FosterPlants for installations at
Espirito Santo Plaza and
The Conrad Miami on Brickell Avenue in Miami's financial district.
In his
editorial for the January/February 2005 issue of Interiorscape magazine,
a Brantwood Publications periodical, publisher Jeff Morey said "The
vortex of changes that 'scaping has gone through are all in our rearview
mirror. Things have already been altered - we are just realizing it! But
the good news is ... the changes are pretty dang cool! .." Mr. Morey
went on to say "Our Grand Winner is not an actual
'interior' job, but a
nicely done rooftop garden created by the very-talented South
Florida based firm, FosterPants. While it does
not feature an abundance of plants, everything that was used was done so
with purpose and great style."
In
responding to the news of the three awards, Steve Foster, President of
FosterPlants said "we are greatly appreciative of the honor and
recognition bestowed upon our company by Interiorscape Magazine. In
addition to our entire team, without whom this recognition would not be
possible, I would like to commend Richard Lopez for
creating the design that earned us the Grand Award for 2005.
"I would
also like to thank Bill Ross, President of Estoril, Inc. developer of Espirito
Santo Plaza and Robert Thrailkill, General Manager
of The Conrad Miami — Hilton Hotel's
luxury brand — for their confidence in our company and their commitment
to, and recognition of quality design and service. Clients who place a
high value on service and quality are few and far between and we are
grateful to Bill and Robert for not only embracing these qualities but
for recognizing them in our company and allowing us to be a part of
their teams" said Mr. Foster.
